A Lightning Guide to Atlantic City Restaurants
Jul 18 , 2011
You'll find all kinds of restaurants in Atlantic City, from world-renowned fine dining restaurants to hole-in-the-wall shops slinging boardwalk food. Here is a quick hitting guide to the many Atlantic City restaurants. Choose a few and sample what Atlantic City has to offer.
White House Sub Shop
Long lines, big subs, and tasty food. Get a meatball sub or a cheesesteak.
Formica Bros. Bakery
Formica’s sub rolls are White House’s secret weapon. Walk out with as many baked goods as you can carry.
Dock’s Oyster House
Fantastic raw bar. Look at the whole menu, order from the oyster selection.
Rainforest Café
Big portions and solid, dependable quality. Great for kids and those who’ve never eaten here before.
House of Blues
Good food, better music. Have a late dinner, and stay for the night’s entertainment.
Pho Sydney
Who comes to Atlantic City for pho? You will, if you know what’s good for you. Unattractive shop, beautiful pho.
Buddakan
Contemporary pan-Asian restaurant with an outstanding atmosphere and limited menu. Three words: king crab tempura.
Palm Restaurant
The Tropicana’s steakhouse. Skip the steak, order the burger and fries.
Old Homestead Steakhouse
The Borgata’s steakhouse. Get a steak. Any steak.
Chef Vola’s
An AC institution. Authentic Italian in the basement of a house. Always packed. What’s not to love?
Steve & Cookies by the Bay
Whatever you do, order the pork chop. For dessert, ask for the blueberry pie. It’s not on the menu, but ask anyway.
Knife & Fork Inn
Get the crab terrine and a steak. You won’t regret it.
Los Amigos
Mexican restaurant with the best margaritas in town. Order the fried ice cream to officially throw your diet out the window.
Chelsea Prime
Another steakhouse. The ribeye is excellent. Come for the tater tots. That’s right, tater tots.
Cuba Libre
The mojitos are strong, and the arroz con pollo is stellar.
Tun Tavern
Atlantic City’s only brewery. Stick to the ales. Food is optional.
Bill’s Gyro Souvlaki.
Atlantic City’s best gyro shop. Perhaps its only gyro shop, too. Regardless, the gyros are delicious. The tzatzkiki is transcendent.
N.O.W.
Best crab rangoon around. Pho is on the pricey side.
Café 2825
Italian restaurant with a family feel. The food is top notch (order anything with mushrooms), and you’ll swear that the employees are family. Really though, are they a family?
